Kiln Options

A kiln is probably the largest and most expensive piece of equipment that you are likely to buy for your new business, so it is vital that you choose the right model to suit your needs.

Apart from considering size and power supply, you will also need to think about the type of products and materials that you wish to fire in your kiln.

Some Kilns are only suitable for firing small-scale items like Jewellery. Therefore, this may restrict you if you wish to become involved in larger-scale Ceramic or Glass firings in the future.

If you are only interested in offering Fingerprint Jewellery and/or Artwork Jewellery - you would be best to purchase a small mini-kiln, which would only be suitable for firing Jewellery and small-scale work - but not Clay Impressions or Pottery.

However, If you believe that you would like the flexibility of firing various types of materials in your Kiln - then you should consider a multi-functional Ceramic Kiln, so that you are not restricted in the future.
